FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does Rupello need my bank login or password?
No — and it never will. Rupello reads the transaction SMS your bank already sends you, parses it on your device, and stores it in a local database. There's no aggregator, no screen-scraping and no credentials involved.
Is my financial data uploaded anywhere?
No. Rupello is offline-first: parsing, categorization and storage all happen on your phone, and your financial data is never uploaded. The only thing that leaves your device is anonymous usage and crash data — never your SMS, amounts or merchants — and you can switch it off in Settings.
Which banks are supported?
Rupello understands the SMS formats of major Indian banks — HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak and more — plus UPI apps and credit cards. If a message isn't recognized, you can add it manually in two taps.
Is there an iPhone version?
Rupello is Android-first because iOS doesn't allow apps to read SMS. An iOS companion with manual + import-based tracking is on the roadmap.
How much does it cost?
The beta is completely free. Core tracking will stay free; paid features may be introduced in a future version.
Can I get my data out?
Always. Export your full history to CSV or Excel from Settings, or delete everything permanently. It's your data — Rupello just organizes it.
